Norwegian star might be leaving the club.

Big European teams show constant interest in the athlete.

Since January of last year at the German club, the Norwegian athlete presents incredible numbers; At only 20 years old, he has reached the mark of 20 goals in only 14 matches in the biggest continental tournament, the Champions League.

Record after record, goal after goal, the young athlete, who has talent, constantly draws the attention of big teams in Europe.

With the premature success of the athlete, the German club might be about to say goodbye to the Norwegian star.

The possibility that the athlete is leaving the club makes us wonder, what will become of the German club?

Overshadowed by the success of FC Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund is back in the news, the German club’s comeback is mainly due to Haaland.

Newly qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League after a 2–2 draw against Sevilla, the result secured the team for the next stage of the competition. Both of the BVB’s goals were scored by the athlete.

Without his main player in the club for the next seasons, without a reserve player or a replacement for the Norwegian Star, Dortmund will lose its main personality of the last seasons, the attack that frightens any defense.

With the front line drawing attention, we forget the team’s defensive line, which is shameful.

Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, and Marco Reus form the BVB’s offensive threesome.

The leaving of yet another important player of the German club’s front line.

The offensive threesome frightens any defense.

Erling Haaland is not alone in the Borussia Dortmund front line, alongside club legend Marcos Reus, and the young striker Jadon Sancho, who has been revealed by Manchester City.

Goal after goal, Reus’assists and the flawless goal-scoring of the two young players make Dortmund’s matches a spectacle, with goals in every single game.

The idol of the BVB fans, Marco Reus, born in Dortmund, is an athlete of one club only, Reus identifies with the club and has his roots planted in Dortmund, therefore, we can not imagine him playing for another club.

The young stars, however, might be on their way out, as both are constantly receiving offers from other clubs.

The leaving of the youngsters will dismantle the club’s legendary trident, on the other hand, the German team will get a huge financial return, as both players still have years left on their contracts; Sancho until 2023 and Haaland until 2024.

Besides the contractual fine, the athletes have a high market value, over 100,00 million Euros.

After years, we see the result that the club management was looking for, financial return on young athletes’ transfers. The club is used to acquiring young players, example are the athletes mentioned above, Erling Haaland and Jason Sancho, both are 20 years old.

Apart from these athletes, the club has more youngsters, some examples are, Jude Bellingham, 17 years old, and the newly acquired, Soumaila Coulibaly, the young French defender who belonged to Paris-Saint-Germain, also 17 years old, the player will start at the club from next season.

Marco Rose, Borussia Dortmund’s new manager for the next season.

Marco Rose, current manager of Mönchengladbach.

With the announcement of Mönchengladbach’s manager Marco Rose, the club is looking for new signings, especially the defensive line, including the goalkeeper, Marvin Hitz, who does not bring any confidence.

An impeccable offensive line, the club’s matches are a spectacle of goals, yet from both sides. The club’s incredible attack does not overcome its weak defense. It is usual in the matches, the club to open the scoring and to draw, or even to be defeated by a comeback.

A great example of this was the last “Der Klassiker”, the name given to the match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München. The German club opened the scoring against their rivals with two goals by the star player Erling Haaland, however, the club was defeated by the Bavarians.

With an unstoppable attack and a miserable defense, the German club is inconstant, even though the current season is being good, the club is only favored to win the German Cup, as its rival, FC Bayern München has already been eliminated.

In the Champions League, the team reached the quarterfinals, so it is already considered a triumph, considering that the club’s last participation in this stage of the championship was in 2017.

Despite the club’s great cup performance, BVB is in fifth place in the Bundesliga with 43 points, playing for the fourth Champions League qualifying spot.

As the club has always been considered the only one to have a chance of taking away FC Bayern München’s sovereignty in the competition, the inconstancy of the matches makes the team go through a bad run in the points competition.

What would keep the stars at the club?

If the team does not qualify for the next Champions League, the leaving of the young prodigies might happen next season, one the non-classification of the club will discourage young athletes to remain in the club.

With the classification of the club for the next edition of the Champions League, the board will possibly seek to keep the youngsters, because, with the arrival of the new manager and the defensive line with new names, the German club comes close to being one of the favorites in the competitions it participates in the next season.
